Where in the US Govt Gives Luri More Reasons to Be Canadian
When the Federal Reserve Inspector General has no idea what the hell happened to the TRILLIONS of dollars the Federal Reserve gave out or spent in the past few months, during one of the worst economic situations of our time, that kinda freaks a person out a little.

Also, does anyone who understands politics, law, and monies more then me know if this H.R.1207 thing is a good idea? I admittedly don't know enough about how everything works to be all "Yeah, we should do this awesome!!!"

I am no genius at this nor do I keep updated with it, but the Federal Reserve is as Federal as Federal Express.
They're not really part of our "Government"; it's kind of a 'third party' side to our own government that issues 'bills' of credit.
It's actually against our constitution.

It's a system that shouldn't exist to begin with; and this is where I lack info/knowledge on.
Why do we have it?

Quoting FIAT Empire.
This banking system, in violation of the U.S. Constitution, creates endless amounts of paper currency out of thin air and then lends it to the government creating the national debt. Behind-the-scenes planners of the Federal Reserve System knew from day-one that they would have to lobby to instate an income tax to ensure interest payments on the national debt, thus the Fed and the Income Tax were both created in the same year, 1913.

Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat's creepy and disturbing. I also heard that Income Tax itself is illegal and that there is no actual law to back it up.

You should probably look up Ron Paul.
I am more of a fan than a supporter as I don't agree with all of his views (Just most).

It's really sad how a country that might have routed itself to the top as an icon of amazing examples, went downhill so quickly.
Not to say that Bush or our recent presidents/administrations are responsible entirely, this has been going on for a long, long time now; Mr. Bush's administration simply outlined the ugly for us to see.
